Simply Put

Simply Put

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

If you must capture the moment

please leave off the flash

when taking this picture of my heart

so when it expresses the hope

the glare doesn’t hide the pain.

display it in a plain frame

so you don’t sugar coat

the details of the lines on my face.

When you insist on drawing a portrait

all I ask is it be done in charcoal, not colors

for I don’t want to be defined or stereotyped,

simply seen as a human with a face.

Amen, keep it simple, don't glamorize it, keep it true and real! Love it!

Charcoal is also softer than colors- a heart without pain has never beat and a heart without hope will soon cease to beat. Plain or ornate? I would say plain also Dale.. no sugarcoating .. never any stereotyping .. something you can never be believe that!
'Scene 'as a human face.. and you have painted a beautiful scene for us to see.
This is a wonderful poem.
