Nature Of The Beast

Nature Of The Beast

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Sinking your teeth into my flesh

only opens the porthole

for my inner demon to cross.

What the human eye cannot see

is the more I bleed

the greater my craving to taste

your afterlife.

When the bite wound

heals into a pentagram

you feel me grow stronger

inside your sin.

Now your impulse

has given my inhibition

the power to make the thunder

be my roar

while assisting my intuition

in guiding the lightening

into your soul.

Ignite…

         and burn

so I can inhale the ashes

that allow me to be…

Become what you were scared to be.

Mark my words,

“As you find peace in your coffin

I will not let your headstone rest.”

I feel here such a uge haunting for change into a wolf, even if only for a blood-moon night, as I have these thoughts often too. The dark aspects you use give a wonderful balance between good and evil, with evil 75% the infection of rabies lives through the weaker ones.... Amazingly well written!
