If you were the sun

I would give up earth

To be the man in the moon.

Then I could bask

In the glow of your glowing heart

While enjoying your radiant exterior

That puts the smile on my face

No matter how far away you are.

You are truly a world-class beauty

With the mind, heart and soul to match,

Yet another reason to be the moon.

The moon chases the sun but admires from afar - they're destined to live at a distance to shine for the earth and not destroy it - this reminds me of impossible love...the illusion carries us through but the longing inevitably sickens..

A compliment of millions for any love to be called the sun.
