The World Where I Exist

The World Where I Exist

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

To explain would be futile and unnecessary.

"

In the world where I exist

leaning towers are a hip expression

of today’s social values.

Abandoned buildings are power plants

keeping everyone’s dreams alive.

In the world where I exist

clouds never cry, just fade away

like fifteen minutes of fame.

The sun only shines with written consent

from Greenpeace and the E.P.A.

In the world where I exist

nights can only end

with the rolling of the credits.

Politicians only live

in the fantasies of the rich.

In the world where I exist

I am just a figment of God’s imagination

and for that I give thanks.

I read this over a few times. I am as u may know, or not, I am not much of a RR person, though I do Read people's work the second R..review I shy away from. This made me think of a world where good people disappear , or are not able to speak out or be noticed because we are not important enough. People tend to only see what they want to see-if the book isn't flashy, lets not dig in and see what is inside.. , in such a hurry that they can not see into anything to deep-just the surface , If it's not quick it's not important Or you have to have something over the top , to be seen! Just my take! Good write~

A statement of the times. We often find ourselves a little strapped in a system that's been around for far too long. The wall street phenomenon is at this hour, a prairie fire across 82 countries. Something is happening. Quite a figment of the imagination!
