The World Where I Exist

The World Where I Exist

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

To explain would be futile and unnecessary.

"

In the world where I exist

leaning towers are a hip expression

of today’s social values.

Abandoned buildings are power plants

keeping everyone’s dreams alive.

In the world where I exist

clouds never cry, just fade away

like fifteen minutes of fame.

The sun only shines with written consent

from Greenpeace and the E.P.A.

In the world where I exist

nights can only end

with the rolling of the credits.

Politicians only live

in the fantasies of the rich.

In the world where I exist

I am just a figment of God’s imagination

and for that I give thanks.

Where I live politicians only live in the pockets of the rich and citizens make believe a capitalist oligarchy is a democracy while they fantasize about their votes counting! But of course that's their dream.

Nice mix of rock-in-roll like imagery and romantic tuggings of the heart. You have a similar voice of the goo-goo dolls but you definitely make it your own.

Your poetry always leaves readers something to think of, ponder upon. It's never a one-time read thing. It resonates. It has impact.

You always touch upon the matrix feel of existence love, poignantly so...we are all a flicker in this movie/control/data banking/statistic gathering/fear mongering place!

Profound as ever my dear sparkle :) Gotta find the internal heaven so the sun can shine ey? :)

xoxo
