Oh God

Oh God

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

The price of peace

Should not be death

Oh God what has man done.

Did evolution forget the brain?

Egos sacrificing the selfless

To serve themselves,

Gaining support

With the help of satellites

Serving as blindfolds

For the masses.

Oh God how do we make them see.

In an age where education

Is at our fingertips

It still seems to be out of arms reach.

People finding it easier

To believe the media

Then search for the truth.

Oh God how do we make them understand

That ignorance is becoming our genocide.

The extreme brainwashing of religion stems from the extreme need to find purpose and power and that behavior is soaked into the fearful and meek...the rage stems from fear; if only we could be motivated by something more gentle...

Oh God is right.
Peace is such a better solution.

Dale, the meaning behind your words is unselfishly and genuinely aware of how things are going. This is such a fine piece of writing; if one phrase made me part gasp, part sigh it's, 'That ignorance is becoming our genocide.'
