Oh God

Oh God

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

The price of peace

Should not be death

Oh God what has man done.

Did evolution forget the brain?

Egos sacrificing the selfless

To serve themselves,

Gaining support

With the help of satellites

Serving as blindfolds

For the masses.

Oh God how do we make them see.

In an age where education

Is at our fingertips

It still seems to be out of arms reach.

People finding it easier

To believe the media

Then search for the truth.

Oh God how do we make them understand

That ignorance is becoming our genocide.

Ignorance has always been genocide. But now we're instantly aware of everything as it happens...

xo
an insightful post for our days of sadness
ignorance kills in masses you are so correct
media is all the hype-but I am glad of some of the news skills-really only in reference to storms at least we are told in time to prepare-not everyday weather they are normally spot on wrong*)but the bigger systems after their storm reports they should shut down for the night
thank you you have shared a part of your personal thoughts in a lovely manner

Thank you very much. I appreciate your thoughts.
Your words speak of great insight and wisdom, and I might add I couldn't agree more with you!! It is far too easy for so many to look the other way, to turn a cold shoulder to those in need, to be indifferent to the woes of the world! May we all in the spirit of love for the upcoming holiday take time to look deeper inside of self to share the love of our awesome God!!!!

Oh Golly...this is frighteningly so very true and as time passes, we unwittingly fit in to the new patterns of life. The realisation sinks in only, when clever poets put pen to paper (so to speak) to produce such a write as yours.
Thanks D for share

Our technology may bring us instant knowledge at our finger tips but it is our technology that makes us to lazy to even read it yet alone comprehend it. Math was much more fun and I learned more before the invention of the calculator not math is simple and I am simple minded because I can't do math with out the calculator to give me the answers. Our eyes maybe closed some open but even the open eyes still live life as the closed eyed ones so affect different point of view. Great write.
