Oh God

Oh God

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

The price of peace

Should not be death

Oh God what has man done.

Did evolution forget the brain?

Egos sacrificing the selfless

To serve themselves,

Gaining support

With the help of satellites

Serving as blindfolds

For the masses.

Oh God how do we make them see.

In an age where education

Is at our fingertips

It still seems to be out of arms reach.

People finding it easier

To believe the media

Then search for the truth.

Oh God how do we make them understand

That ignorance is becoming our genocide.

such truth...good write

Profound. Simply stated, yet real. Dale, it disturbs me in this age of information that we are without 'thought' - we don't learn. We just absorb and we assume the absorption is truth. You are right on with this one. Right on it.

Thank you so much. I just call it like I see it.
How did you get so smart young man? ;-) Turnabout is fair play...and Amen, Hallelujah and all that jazz!

Thank you sir.
I make this plea on a fairly regular basis, especially that bit about seeking the truth, the real truth, rather than drinking the liberal media Kool Aid. Great piece, Dale. I love it when you feature from the archives.

Dale,

this is so true...a real statement of our time...i know this..being a teacher...students don't read anymore...they watch tv..they see it..digest it, believe it.
there is no real search for truth.
the technological revolution has definitely forgotten brain.

bravo.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom sir.
Great muse. I have often asked those very same questions. Good to see someone who is awake!!

you are referring to the most pressing, traumatic issues of mortality, and infact have utilised such language prolifically in your most persuasive poetic arguments, absolutely great writing, young man

Thank you very much.
I just saw the news earlier. There were 10 athletes representing The Philippines and the bomb exploded near the Philippine flag! It was terrible. I very much agree with the last line. Sad but true:(
