Enlightening Haze

Enlightening Haze

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Staring out the windshield

In the midst of this storm

I need no wiper blades

For the world looks saner

Through the blurry watertrails.

It is funny how peaceful

The world looks

When you can’t see straight.

It’s no wonder I need a drink.

I love this....it really is a sad truth of the world for many of us today. It's no wonder one of the industries still making money in this desperate economy are the liquor stores/companies...;) I write this as I take a swig of beer....Sometimes the reality is just too much to handle and better taken in dimmed out and blurred little. Very nicely expressed here, Dale.

This poem reflects the truth. Albeit a sad one. There are metaphors and symbolism all around us that remind us of this world in shreds. It's no wonder so many are looking for a bottle these days.

Wow. That's deep! It's nice having a peaceful world, even if it's done while drinking. This poem, although kinda pessimistic, is really relaxing. It makes me think of that peaceful world.

The sad thing is these words are very true. The world isn't what it once was and the clear our picture the more we need a drink to be able to make it through a day watching the news.

Blurred senses scripted and driven thru humor
Delightful trip in sobriety to drunken wishes
