It Hurts Sometimes(But I'm Still Me)A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)I can't explain I just write... Following
a path towards
the misty mountain top I
came upon a rainbow within
arms reach. The
writing on the rock said “Do
Not Touch”. I
glanced around to find no
one to witness to
my rebel intention. Before
the tips of my fingers could
feel the colors of the world a
voice whispered “If
you don’t follow the sign it becomes
a lie.” To
that I replied “If
I follow the words then I’d be
a lie.” My
hand passed through, the
rainbow became rain causing
my footing to give way sending
me over the edge. As
I laid where I fell I
heard the voice again, “As
the rule has been broken now so are
you.” Through
a snicker I retorted “Yet
I am still alive.” Wink. © 2011 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Featured Review
