Codename: Communication Apocalypse

NOTE: This has nothing to do with the end of the world, far from it. Cause I don't believe that is happening.

 

Gravity kills

the astronaut’s soul

while making the alien’s heart race.

 

Stars become a hallucination;

Mother Earth a broken mirror.

 

Satellite transmissions

corral freedom of speech

causing the cloudy sky

to drown out

rational replies.

 

Oxygen no longer an element

but rather a chemical.

 

The sun now cowers

behind the moon’s reflection

knowing the planet’s core

is hotter than her surface.

Out there is altering .. form is deforming .. life on earth, around earth is changing .. and maybe, though not said in your poem, we should be afraid.
Not sure if that's what you're saying with this powerful poem, but it's how i understand it .. if wrong, apologies.

strong imagery, flowing into emotion and physche - anyone who realizes that dinosaurs used to roam this earth before us; can only make the guess that we can also be vanished as a species - the world will not end - it shifts, changes, cleanses - uses tension and energy to conform itself = not conforming to humans - but to itself....
