Graveyard Bed

Graveyard Bed

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

That hollow feeling

in the pit of my stomach

are artificial nutrients

used to fertilize flourishing lands

of those already rich.

The dark void

that echoes in my heart

was created by

deafening cries of children

I never met yet sentences to hell.

Those empty thoughts

plaguing my mind

is an infection

of educational lessons

disguising media tools gone viral.

I feel the need dig my own grave

in the bed that I made

so that when I awake

I may eat, feel and think

like that of a newborn baby.

Very emotionally deep and spiked flow, a relative fire and brimstone prose, well done, great read, good job.

You wrote a deep poem here that takes sharp looks at our society and us as the puppets who play along with leaving a raped earth behind for our children to deal with. The first verse sets the tone with a strong message to us that we are mere surfs for the rich to become richer. you know how I feel about the media so I won't even go there LOL... This is excellent RRC

A lot of pain in the world, all around us and deep inside us. A powerful poem with hope at the end that we can survive all the pain in our life.

so often we do let things eat us alive. Isn't is wonderful when we realize we can just start our day over? Wonderful piece!

What Anne said, raw emotion, alive bugs crawling.

Oh, such raw, gut emotion. It pours out like black and white painful angst on a page ; material of exposed emotional pain
