The Ocean Sings My PeaceA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE) Sounds
of the ocean’s movement Become
the acoustic guitar In
my head While
I build a castle Upon
the shoreline Just
so time can Wash
it away Like
tears falling on wet ink. Smudged
lyrics are as useful As
a seagull eating from my hand. Listening
to the only Seashell
upon this shore Brings
only thoughts Of
a lonely wind blowing A
tumbleweed through A
ghost town I’ve never been. Each
footprint I leave In
the sand Is
a memory distorted By
dreams of strangers. Retreating
to the water Is
a baptism for me As
I breathe in the pain, Exhale
my fears And
a wait nightfall So
the moon can sing my requiem In
the form of a wave That
brings me closer to nature. © 2011 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Featured Review
