Room Without A View

Room Without A View

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

A white satin sheet

Drapes perfectly over

The empty bed.

Red curtains closed tight

Accent the undisturbed

Room’s mood.

A single candle flickers,

Clinging to the polished dresser

With molten wax.

The slightest breeze

Drifts under the locked door

To keep the silence company.

She sits alone in the dark closet

So she can understand

What it all means.

A really gorgeous poem... truly, I am very impressed with this. Have you considered keeping the capitalisation of each line just to the first in each stanza? I think it might even emphasise the starkness and fragility of your character.

I didn't see the closet thing coming at all, good job. I hope she gets it figured out before it's too late. good job, friend!

whoa; the imagery is so subtle and intense; i can feel the emotion without you even describing it.

There's a good atmosphere growing in this and I'm wanting to know what happens next or at least why she is sitting alone. The title is very good too as this gives the whole piece an eeriness.

Hmmmmmm, very intriguing! It hits you, yet softly, and makes you wonder. Great metaphors!
