Huh.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE IMAGERY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
Your wording and structure is superb!
It definitely puts me into a dark, brooding, Halloween-ish mood. :)

I love Halloween too!!!!!! This is my last year that I am socially ok to go trick or treating... So I plan to go out with a bang... Ya know?
I agree with Gracie...I didn't get an image of a haunted house, per se', but definitely an abandoned house. It brought vivid memories of my favorite pages on Pinterest of old abandoned houses and abandoned grand castles with nothing left to speak of but overgrown lawns and dirt floors...but you can see the majestic archways and staircases now vine covered and wild. Very vivid imagery, Cowboy. Loved this one, too!

Well maybe it wasn't bout a house at all :) Glad you liked this one, thank you :)
Oh, I had missed this one so I am glad to see it featured for Halloween!! I know this is your favorite time of year! Your poem is spooky as it recounts the ballad of the spooky house!
so much of old hurts still linger.. past traumas and disturbing deeds... this was indeed haunting and leaves quite a weight on your heart.. it's a soulful halloween image

Thank you very much. I wanted it to be fun for Halloween with a deeper meaning as well.
