Without(Pieces Of Me)A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE) Beneath the relentless
sky In a world built on
subliminal treason Are these aching bones Virgin to daylight, In search of sanctity; Clutched in the
vulture’s talons. Removal of my flesh Was vital in letting
emotions flow. Next the lungs had to
be buried Beneath the treaded
dirt, For without captive
air I could feel the true
meaning Of breathing. Ripping out the heart To leave it bleeding
all over the ground Allowed me to hear The true meaning of
love Without the distorting
beat Distorting the truth. Disposing of my
stomach Helped feed this
barren wasteland So I can see my hunger Is not in vain. Letting my mind
shatter And watching the
pieces Fall between the
cracked terrain Put in perspective The education That hinders my
spirit’s freedom. Now that I face The harsh elements And natural predators In the rawest form
possible I feel confident I am really living. © 2010 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Featured Review
