Sowing The Seeds Of Love(Sprouting Hate)

Sowing The Seeds Of Love(Sprouting Hate)

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Everyone’s Genesis…

Planted with care in the womb

Of mother’s natural garden.

Sprouting from God’s seed

We all grow to love

Just some are bred to hate

By subliminal minions

Disguised within parents.

Reckless actions…

       That trumps encouraging words,

       For “evil see evil do”

Is more than a catchy phrase.

It’s an all too real reality

       When young minds are subjected

       To images of their protectors

Acting out negative feelings.

It’s the spark…

       That can create a fire

       The size of hell’s landscape

       Turning a once beautiful mind

       Into ashes…

              To ashes,

Dust to dust…

       Till it buries them

       R.I.P. innocents.

I often think new borns are the cleanest souls, coming into life with a blank slate to be filled with colours and riches............sadly, as is so often the case it does not turn out this way, and the soul is filled with images, thoughts that are not clean, and children are molded to become grown adults that commit such vile acts, causing pain.........you have written a stunning piece, full of imagary, which captures my thoughts very well.

You have portrayed the innocence of innocents extremely well Dale. In fact the entire poem is well structured with no obscurity. The subject is timely in this age of greed...we are carefully taught to hate by those who are guardians of our hearts.
Kudos :-)

You are able to use the power of emotional words to stir the heart and soul, and in this write it is stunning. Your last passage gripped me so much. The spark that can create a fire... vast and destructive.. destroying what once was beautiful... Awesome work!

Great write!! Its so tragic how too many people don't care to look beyond the momentary happenings, to realize that someday all the ordinary moments will be golden memories, either golden or tarnished.

One question though, should it be "sowing" not "sewing?" Or are my eyes just playing tricks this morning?

You have some very powerful lines here: Planted with care in the womb
Of mother’s natural garden.
Just some are bred to hate
By subliminal minions
Disguised within parents.
Turning a once beautiful mind
Into ashes…
To ashes,
Dust to dust…
Till it buries them
R.I.P. innocents.
To me this poem says were are all born innocent, pure, and
as time goes by we are tainted by life.

wow - so deep with some undeniable truths
i have often thought about this but you've expressed it so eloquently
i was watching nightline yesterday about teens being picked up off the streets by pimps and forced into prostitution - right here in america
it makes me sad when our young generation is ripped out of innocence...sometimes its not always the parents because i had a boyfriend in my young days that had great parents; i stayed with him longer than i should have because he had great parents - its so sad that after we broke up he ended up in destruction because he was weak and got taken over by bad influences..

When we teach fear and hate only. What will the children know but fear and hate. We live in the USA. All cultures and beliefs live in the same country. We try to live together in peace. Your words are true. If we teach racism, hate of other religions and disrespect for woman. World will keep falling backward in the search of peace and unity. A outstanding poem.
