Sowing The Seeds Of Love(Sprouting Hate)

Sowing The Seeds Of Love(Sprouting Hate)

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Everyone’s Genesis…

Planted with care in the womb

Of mother’s natural garden.

Sprouting from God’s seed

We all grow to love

Just some are bred to hate

By subliminal minions

Disguised within parents.

Reckless actions…

       That trumps encouraging words,

       For “evil see evil do”

Is more than a catchy phrase.

It’s an all too real reality

       When young minds are subjected

       To images of their protectors

Acting out negative feelings.

It’s the spark…

       That can create a fire

       The size of hell’s landscape

       Turning a once beautiful mind

       Into ashes…

              To ashes,

Dust to dust…

       Till it buries them

       R.I.P. innocents.

I often think new borns are the cleanest souls, coming into life with a blank slate to be filled with colours and riches............sadly, as is so often the case it does not turn out this way, and the soul is filled with images, thoughts that are not clean, and children are molded to become grown adults that commit such vile acts, causing pain.........you have written a stunning piece, full of imagary, which captures my thoughts very well.

From a seed fruit is bared to only be trodden and overrun with vines of antiquity, turning what was once good into dusted ash. Outstanding, and most philosophical piece, Dale.

Wow the thing that most called out to me was the awesome description with so little words and the fantastic presentation you used.
Keep it up mate! good rating for this

A cruel word never misses its mark, and there's no shortage of victims in the wheel of life when trampled by hate. I like the form that you chose for this poem, and the content is spot on. Quite frankly, it makes me angry. The hurt and harm from the hands of parents are apt to last for a lifetime, leaving the innocent battle-scarred and weary.

Powerful, aggressively written, and wonderfully done. This piece was excellent.. the last line really closed it up nicely while delivering a topical punch. Great piece.

My my my my! New born babies are the purest of them all. They are just born into a world of phoniness. Very well constructed. This should be posted on hospital door or something.

What a profound poem. But part of becoming an adult is making your own ways, yet accepting our parents for who they are. I really enjoyed your poem. It's very beautiful.
