I dig the use of passive voice. The colors of pure [white] light are split by the prism and then bleed back into each other. Why can't humanity do the same? An intelligent way to take a simple rainbow and use it as an inspiration.
Good question. Such a beautiful write this is. What came to my mind was, how we could all be seen as the lucky pot of gold under the rainbow within the lines of this poem. Perhaps by accepting each other's colors we find the gold color of harmony too!
F**k yes Dale, this was beautiful. I love how you notice something like a rainbow, and create a master piece out of it. Although it does a fine job on itself, you brought it a heart and gave it life. Peaceful. I loved this.
This gave me at first such a deep sense of peace.. and then as I moved to the last lines I could see the fuller meaning of the colors... Oh, how I wish the world could flow together in beauty like a rainbow!
Hmmmm... reading this the first thing that comes to mind is equality. Earlier today I read a poem by Lara that was along similar lines as this. You make a good point,
So why does it’s colors
blend so harmoniously
for the world to see
yet colors still clash amongst humanity.
A very good point you make here. But darker skinned people will never be granted the equality as humans as lighter skinned people. We automatically relate darkness with negative things such as death, demons, evil, so on and so forth. So it makes sense that they treat the darker skinned people with disdain. It's almost natural. It's the reason why Jesus and even GOD himself are portrayed as fair skinned men, with blues eyes. As long as darker skin is treated with inferiority, and the dark skin people fight for that equality we deserve, racial strife will strive. Probably until the end of time.
Beautiful. The color blending of the rainbow used in this poem, makes me think of interracial relationships. We're all from the same God, breathe the samw air, and we're all human. I love this poem.
Your question is ask by many everyday. The world is large and opportunity for all to have a good life. I believe when we learn respect for each other. (World leaders) Maybe we will be able to walk together in peace. A outstanding poem.
