Chaotic Comfort

Chaotic Comfort

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

A quick release

"

The function

       Of dysfunction

Are habitual

       And conditional

For stability

       To make reality

Surreal enough

       To call your bluff

Till the pain ignites

       Spiritual rites

That condemns

       Selfless amends

So that humanity

       embraces insanity.

I am not sure if "dysfunctional" is "conditional" as I
am aware that I am a product of "dysfunctional" that is
not always conditional. To call one's 'bluff' is surreal enough,
no doubt. "Spiritual rites" definitely "embraces insanity" in
no uncertain terms. However, I do know that "love" for some,
is completely conditional. That's disturbing.

I like reading what you write, for I find myself reading into those
words on a different level. I do not think like most..or something.

In other words, your 'poetry' is thought provoking.
That's a good thing.

There is a powerful imagery that chaos creates, and here you play with the language in a way that dances across comparisons and contrasts of thought. Deeply moving glimpses of what takes place in the mind.

I love how this one reads aloud. I keep reading it over and over...it's a piece to ponder over, nice work!!! There you go with another great title :)

you nailed this one pretty good, Dale...i think a lot of people will relate to this, i know i do. we are all dysfunctional to some extent and in the wake of everything being categorized and analyzed, why not give give a name to a state that some of us have been in for most of our lives. eccentricities and neurosis are what they may have been called at one point...nothing wrong with being a little insane, it make this life a lot easier to endure.

thought provoking as always hun....good work.

I like the way this is written and the way it flows, as well as the thoughts it converys. Love the last two lines. So sadly appropriate.
