A Morning To Remember... Forget?

A Morning To Remember... Forget?

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Just having some fun

"

Up and at’em

At the sound of the buzzer

By way of a stumble

To the kitchen

Till my senses detect

A fresh roast feeling

Percolating my eyes open…

Not in time

Cause I stepped in the mess

The dog graciously left…

Dang, crap, holy s**t

I just rubbed it in,

I wish this carpet was grass…

Forgot to pick up sweetener,

Without sugar this coffee

Is a bitter pill to swallow…

Oh why is this shower so cold,

I’d be better off bathing

In a snow storm…

When did my watch lose its tick?

Great now I’m running late

Guess its of to work like a timewarp…

Is that a blessing or a curse?

Dang, crap, holy s**t... or unholy s**t as the case may be. :) This made me chuckle, and reminded me of some of my own mornings... just add a crying baby, making a bottle, getting a little girl ready for school as she tries to keep going back to bed... :) Life is beautiful on days like these. I much enjoyed the write.

Funny s**t. Mornings can be a such a wreck. I dig: "I'd be better off bathing in a snowstorm." It is always a FUBAR mess on a bad morning...

This is so funny. You really tapped into how mornings can be in real life. I love the part about the dog leaving a mess and no sweetener for the coffee. i was laughing out loud at this poem which in turn caused me to have to read this one to my mom. She loved it as well. Great job on making me smile through and through today. Glad I'm not the only one who has crappy mornings like this.

Mornings of just such caliber are the reason why I am going to stay in bed under the covers tomorrow morning and nurse this cold I am coming down with... :) You've captured it quite well...Murphy's Law! Night Dale!
