Pearls Of Wisdom

Pearls Of Wisdom

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

The vast onyx sky

Is filled with pearls of wisdom:

We always look but really never see.

Relying on the fact they return

Everynight,

Forgetting what they mean

Here and now

And what life would be like

If they became falling angels.

Every twinkle is a glimmer

       Of hope for the future.

Every sparkle a light from heaven

       Showing our place on earth.

Without them-

       Night would become nothing

       Day just an escape

       Life…  a black hole.

I love the master piece that you paint with these beautiful words you have chosen. These words speak to me showing me pictures in my mind. The night wouldn't be as beautiful without them and it is amazing to think at night about life and how it changes. you have out done yourself once again.

Love it. I can't even explain why I just love it. I could never imagine a nights sky without stars it would be like a blank canvas waiting to be adorned with something. Great piece.

So true. Not enough take the time to look - just look. I wonder if 'fallen' would read better as 'falling'? There is such movement in the poem that it might lend itself well to that? It's lovely to read Cowboy... a true groove fersure.

This is so true, and something as simple and beautiful as the
stars should not be taken advantaged of, but to enjoy and
breathe and be thanful we are alive to enjoy such slendor.

Cool..celestial imagery. The contrast between the stars and the black hole...perfect. I like how you shows specks of positivity within a deep sea of dispair...just like life! Really well constructed.

Beautifully stated, my friend. They remind us how small and insignificant they are, then remind us that our troubles are too. I love the stars.

This was beautiful, as always. I see your heart is slowing healing, it'll get there. I liked the flow, enjoyed it.

oh yes you have got that right...it would be nothing but a vast dark and dreary place. Wonderful look into your mind and a reminder to be thankful for what we have. Great job!
