Pearls Of Wisdom

Pearls Of Wisdom

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

The vast onyx sky

Is filled with pearls of wisdom:

We always look but really never see.

Relying on the fact they return

Everynight,

Forgetting what they mean

Here and now

And what life would be like

If they became falling angels.

Every twinkle is a glimmer

       Of hope for the future.

Every sparkle a light from heaven

       Showing our place on earth.

Without them-

       Night would become nothing

       Day just an escape

       Life…  a black hole.

I love the master piece that you paint with these beautiful words you have chosen. These words speak to me showing me pictures in my mind. The night wouldn't be as beautiful without them and it is amazing to think at night about life and how it changes. you have out done yourself once again.

Written quite beautifully. The imagery is dazzling. I pictured each line clearly as I read through the poem. This really intrests me because, in my opinion (not to offend anyone), I believe religion was created to present a meaning to life for those scared to face the possibility of no afterlife. Without a meaning, hope is lost and so is the drive to continue life. This is one of the subjects which I hold strong views on so your poem was very intriguiging.
I adored your connection of stars to heaven and the essential flow of the poem. Simple, radiating with imagery, and conveying a very important point within few words. All in all, another amazing job well done.

Life a black hole, there's a thought! Ever wonder what's beyond the stars? I love the stars and the moon, just made for gazing and pondering, much like this poem. Nice work.
