Numb

 

That ton of bricks

Is a feather in my cap.

 

A swinging sledgehammer

Might as well be a bee sting.

 

Sudden shotgun blast

Becomes a pinprick.

 

Being in so much pain

Has made me numb.

These are some serious emotion going on here. It feels like a sudden shock from something tragic that has happened. It has me thinking and feeling some one has died from being shot. Wow this is deeply moving in so few short words that are all carefully placed. the flow as smooth as water but yet it strikes me tragic.

Oh my...I am putting 2 and 2 together and not liking the sound of these compelling words of extreme pain and anguish.......raw emotion!!
Certain news can drive us to a state of shock as this!...numb, sudden shotgun blast......major upheaval!

Wow Dale I don't think you could have said it any better. My heart goes out to you and your pain. The compassionate part of me wants to take the pain away and wants to ease your suffering.
