State Of the Unknighted Nations

State Of the Unknighted Nations

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Worldwide

            Whispers

      With

Tornado

            Tendencies

      Take

Fabricated

            Flight

      Fast

Over hollowed ground,

Inflating deceased veins:

      Effect…

Superficial reincarnation,

Genetic miscarriage.

An empty graveyard

Now fills the void

Of sacred emotions.

Decaying flesh

Becomes the symbol of freedom;

The cry of the wolf,

      The new national anthem.

The sun now shines

With the motivation of a spotlight,

The respect of a flashlight.

The shadows and fog corporate merge

Just so night and day

are no longer different.

Underground

Unity

      Ultimately

Beckons

            Belligerent

Bishops

Into

            Inconceivable

      Immortality

Leaving the human race

In a state of suspended animation.

Ok this is SOO awesome, except I hate (lol sorry!), the way it's written in all caps. Maybe you're trying to scream at the reader? Hah, I'm not to sure. I mean your words are LOUD and powerful enough that I think it would have just worked nicely on its own. Yes everything should be emphasized and "in your face" with this, but tone it down will ya? ;-D Haha I'm kidding. It's perfect.

A very bleak and dramatic interpretation of the direction, we are headed in. Call me, a hopeless optimism, who refuses to give up hope for a better future. To give up, in my opinion, means taking a gun to our collective "head" and pulling the trigger. On the technical side, the flow of the poem is smooth, it flies before my eyes, drawing me in with it's message. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.

This is quite powerful. The last stanza is brilliant. Nicely done...

Very powerful as others have said. The spacing and capitals at the beginning of each line emphasise that also.

(Thank you for your review! I'm so pleased you liked it.)

Sorta like rolling over in your grave. Or dying to be something. I love the pic. {speshly the guy in the glasses)

Powerful write, and the last stanzas say it all: Leaving the human race
In a state of suspended animation.

Love these lines: Over hollowed ground,
Inflating deceased veins:
Effect…
Superficial reincarnation,
Genetic miscarriage.

This reminds me of my nights at work listening to CNN with all it's disturbing
news. I ask myself all the time "why am I listening to this crap, it's depressing" but
that is what are world has become ... 'belligerent ... Inconceivable"

So many strong and true lines in the poem. I can't stand to even hear the Senators and House Rep. speak. They speak in double talk. Never gives a real answer. They believe we have truth in them. Us in the USA have learn. Time for change is now. The common people must change the world. A powerful poem. You made me think.

A powerfully spoken, richly painted image of our world... the darkness sweeping over the scene... the dreams drifting away... the pain overwhelming the best of us... You evoke such emotion and depth that cries out for a cure and your last line is a perfect summary...

I see I'm late again.. WOW!!..
You definitely laid it all out there on the state of our nation.. Collectively we as humans need to look past and within for the true guidance.
Very well written, Dale..

Dale, you pulled no punches with this one. Bravo. Will we ever achieve true humanity? Sad to say, but it is doubtful amidst all of our hopes... Magnificent my friend.
