One Nation Under BureaucracyA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE) Cellblock
gypsies Bargain
basement hearts, Embrace
the emptiness, Steal
away damnation; One nation
without… Humanity, Salvation. Only
the long arm of democracy That
holds on to the long arm of… Gravity; and it
is known What goes up must
come down. So
goes the cycle, Recycled
from the grave, Exonerated
from hell For
the purpose of Jealousy,
retribution. Penance
lost; adrift In a sea of fear. Tears
in a vial; becomes acid When spilled on
newborn flesh. The
hard line between eternity And
an enigma Suffocates
reality, Sophisticates
generations, Complicates unity… Forbidden
structures become Unholy
temples under the watchful… Eye in the sky, Translucent
hypocrisy Clipped wings of
freedom; Fear
the new “F” word In
the land of the faceless And the land of
the blasphemers. © 2010 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Featured Review
