Nocturnal Truth

Nocturnal Truth

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Only under the guidance of midnight

I can see the words that have been hidden

From the sound barrier.

So try and hide the writing in the stars

I can read the moon’s smile

For the tell tale signs

Then clear up the details by reading brail

With broken fingers to remind me

Of the cost in finding the truth

Inside a black hole…

Soul disregarded

By its own intuition…

Divine intervention

Lost to the subconscious…

A single whisper

Arises with the dawn,

Welcoming a tombstone,

Creating a new breath.

Embracing that which is darkness in life is the message I received reading this.. I could be wrong.. but that nocturnal call and the plight of darkness that is so much a part of life. Acceptance of death in life.. not fearing the things that restrict so many in everyday life and finding a renewed reason to live. This could also be creative for the story of a werewolf or vampire.. just embracing the call of the darkness.. and of course some people are truly nocturnal in nature. Great job!

You weave such a beautiful wonder with your words. Deep into the night of the earth and of the soul, you brilliantly allow the imagery to profoundly move over us.. I walk each night and so this one connected to me so powerfully...

Darkness and light are both part and parcel of not only human nature but of the human environment. Opposites are necessary in order to appreciate the need for balance and variety

A new dawn creates a new day and a new breath. I had to read it a couple of times to really understand it but once I did it was an eye opener! Great writing Dale :)

Very interesting write Cowboy, I do love the clever metaphors and the road that scoured by darkness. Although out of the darkness came a seed of good, a breath…breath of life…wonderful write Cowboy…

wow... this one speaks on so many levels...I love the imagery of you reading the stars in brail. I thought that this one was a death and rebirth of some kind in your life... the death the black hole and the rebirth the new breath... wonderful words in any case...
