The Holiest Of Nights

The Holiest Of Nights

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Hope, faith and love to all

"

A chilly breeze

Has that magical touch

As it brings the silver bells

To life allowing them to hum

Of peace and love,

On this, the holiest of nights.

To the villagers it sounds

Of an angel’s hymn

As they gather around the tree

In the town square

Joining hands without a second thought.

Every heart circling that decorated evergreen

And within earshot of those silver bells

Felt the warmth in their hearts

Of every man, woman and child.

Silently in unison they all prayed

They could feel this way everyday,

And not just this, the holiest of nights.

As the night faded and everyone

Nestled in their beds they all knew

Deep within their souls

That chilly breeze was God’s gift to them

On this, the holiest of nights.

On the holiest of nights there is such a special feeling that touches the hearts of those who believe! You have spoken of these moments with such simplistic elegance and love! Your words are like snowflakes dropping from Heaven to remind us of the most important gift of all time! Your reference to a chilly breeze that touches us is just wonderful!
Lovely, just lovely!!

This is what Christmas truly is all about. I can feel the awe and respect in each and every word. I love the imagery and the peace that I found myself encompassed in through your piece.

Lovely, Dale! I could feel the chill and hear the sounds. It almost had a child-like feel to it, a gentle reminder to humble ourselves this time of year. Beautiful!

Yes, I fully agree with what the others have said.
A lovely descriptive picture of a magnificant

read through this. Truly beautiful Dale!

This creates a very beautiful picture of peace, happiness and love as the villagers gather around the Christmas tree in the town square on the holiest of nights and the cold wind that blows is God's gift to ring the silver bells instead of something not so nice. Very very nicely done. Really love this.

ah yes....sing silver bells....sweet silver bells...this is indeed the embodiment of what most imagine Christmas should be. Nicely done. Warmth and embodiment of the holidays.

This beautiful piece brings to mind the scene in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" where they are singing and holding hands regardless of the fact their gifts were gone. I was able to escape into your imagery for a few wonderful moments...thank you for that. Simply Amazing....

this is a wonderfully written poem Dale, I just love the silver bells almost as if you can hear them echoing in the village. The warming sensations fill the heart and soul with happiness as this night fades to another and another...spreading joy throughout the world...wonderful poem

This has it all .. all the happenings and feelings that Christmas should contain .. if only you could find a way of making it go on and on throughout the year, Dale .. wouldn't that be wonderful!

'Silently in unison they all prayed They could feel this way everyday, And not just this, the holiest of nights.'

There is a gentleness in the air when Christmas touches everyone .. there's warmth and sense of hope .. but oh how quickly it turns into mist. Your poem should be shouted out with the bells!

Lovely, beautiful!
