The Holiest Of Nights

The Holiest Of Nights

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Hope, faith and love to all

"

A chilly breeze

Has that magical touch

As it brings the silver bells

To life allowing them to hum

Of peace and love,

On this, the holiest of nights.

To the villagers it sounds

Of an angel’s hymn

As they gather around the tree

In the town square

Joining hands without a second thought.

Every heart circling that decorated evergreen

And within earshot of those silver bells

Felt the warmth in their hearts

Of every man, woman and child.

Silently in unison they all prayed

They could feel this way everyday,

And not just this, the holiest of nights.

As the night faded and everyone

Nestled in their beds they all knew

Deep within their souls

That chilly breeze was God’s gift to them

On this, the holiest of nights.

On the holiest of nights there is such a special feeling that touches the hearts of those who believe! You have spoken of these moments with such simplistic elegance and love! Your words are like snowflakes dropping from Heaven to remind us of the most important gift of all time! Your reference to a chilly breeze that touches us is just wonderful!
Lovely, just lovely!!

dearest Dale… the warmth of the Light from the Star will be our Guiding Light.. when the Night is the darkest the Star shines the Brightest. Gathering around the Christmas Tree .. singing Silent Night… Holy Night.. we are blessed for Centuries. Tenderly, Pat

Thank you Pat. I appreciate it
I love that you are suggesting this feeling need not be saved for one night per year. So true! Yet you suggest it in a gentle way. It's something people need to grow into, I think. We can start by approaching all of the month of December as a series of holy nights! That's what I've been doing! Love your message & the bright way you arrange the traditional symbols in new ways (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you very much Jacob.
There is no other night like it. The feeling of it fills you to the brim and in those moments you truly feel peace. That peace is the greatest gift of all. Your poem reminds us all of what it all means.

It is a wonderful feeling… anyone with half a heart can feel it. Thank you.
When the spirit of that holiness is not present everything will be incomplete, when real spirit enters all are full glasses to overflow to others. Keeping the positive and real spirit of any similar ocassions is the real magic, beautiful lines and I loved it

You very welcome dear poet, happy holidays, take care
Reading this in July, well I am halfway there to the holiest of nights. And in reading this it brings the warm and comfort to my heart. Beautiful flowing piece. This really shows the true spirit of love and kindness that should be shared and sadly is forgotten or shadowed by material possessions of this time of year. This is what needs to be remembered and celebrated. Thank you for the warm and comforting read tonight.

Thank you for writing this and sharing your sentiments of the Holy night. While reading it a warm surrounded me and replaced the cool cold hardness of my heart. Your writing lifted my spirits that have been plagued with misery and depression. Thanks for helping me smile today. A most outstanding poem. It has moved me more than you could know. Thanks!
