Hell Of A Thought

Hell Of A Thought

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Crash into me

Cause the damage

Is already done

Beneath the weight

Of my spiritual hammer.

Cut me up

For in many pieces

I already am,

Sliced for entertainment,

Stitched up for amusement.

Throw me up

Since the bowels of hell

Beat you to it,

Sent here to suffer for

The consequences you render.

The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
No worries this is actually more of a philosophical notion then that of personal feelings.

Sadly, I understand where this notion comes from. We are not actors, though we try to be. We are, in all reality, nothing more than walking reactions. We are reactors. Every action is but a reaction to a previous action taking place before it. Some of us, apparently react in a way that is to be found entertaining. For we are repeatedly requested to perform that action over and over. Unfortunately, some reactions are very taxing on the heart, leading to a premature breakdown of the glucose pumping station. A costly repair, to say the least. But low and behold! After the repairs are made or a temporary patch is in place, here comes the request for an encore! And we call ourselves human? Or is being human really such a noble stature, after all?
Dale, you say an existence of wealth in your words here. They are profound on the highest level. The true meaning of what you are saying will be lost in most of those who read this. Very deep meanings that do not show on the surface. A most Excellent write.

Glad to hear this is not your feelings now or hopefully ever. It speaks of have of a soul that has been beaten down and trod upon. The spirit so low that it doesn't care what happens to the empty shell. A new side of you, my friend.

Wow.. powerful philosophical notion there you have! Undertones of feelings of defamation to one's character.. that's already been beaten down from life's highways! Sent here to suffer for the consequences you render.. brutal.. all the words slice right through the reader. This is a giant metaphor.. could relate to the flu.. a long lost love.. a struggle with living.. family issues.. fight with a friend.. etc.. so many things.. and it can relate to everyone in some way! We all have moments where we feel like we are going to fall to pieces.. at some point in life... those are some hard hitting lines! Great work.. full of intensity!

Oh good. Glad to hear it wasn't personal. Was starting to get worried. But you know what? I can kinda (not completely fortunately) identify with this, and I think there's a lot of folks who could. Lots of folks doing lots of damage out there and not even thinking twice about it. I think you did a fantastic job of description. Very powerful word choices. Excellent job.

...Yikes, sure glad it is not personal since it is a heart wrenching philosophical notion! It is like being torn from limb to limb!
Certainly at the hands of someone unmerciful is the flavor of it!

wow...there is such power in this one! Slice me dice me...yikes. Sounds like that of a tortured soul that walks about within you sometimes. We all have our dark moments...and with you sharing yours like this I see another layer to an already complicated and many faceted person.

Sent here to suffer for
The consequences you render.

I found this to be most interesting...suffering from anothers actions. Well penned!!
