The Humanity Of Autumn

The Humanity Of Autumn

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

My favorite season

"

I inhale a deep breath …

The feel of that cool crisp air

Traveling through my lungs

Reminding me of the purity

That exists in the souls

Of those who believe

In the call of the wild

So never cage

What born in my heart.

I take along walk…

Hearing the rustle of leaves

Wrestling beneath my feet

Is a wake up call to my dreams

That even when they fall

There is still the beauty

Of when they were growing

And can return

When the time is right.

Season come and seasons go,

Each  with special emotions,

Always teaching us

If we’d just listen.

But there’s something about autumn

With all its changes

And up and down essence

That I can relate to as a human.

Yes, I love Autumn too. Unfortunately here in southern Cal we don't get the colors like everyone else. Eventually I would like to live somewhere where I can experience the four seasons. But our summers and winters can't be beat!!

Very pretty poem. Refreshing look at just nature and all of its breathtaking beauty!

Autumn is the best time of the year...so many see it as a ending of the seasons...which is untrue, it is when the plants and earth rejuvinate, and grow stronger deep on the inside....spring is only the reawakening, the time when they bless us with the beauty of what they've been meditating on.
Dale, you did an amazing job on this piece, another masterpiece from you're wonderful poetic pen!

I love Autumn it is by far my favorite season and you captured it beautifully yet not in the traditional way and that is what makes it so great. I especially love the ending. Nicely done yet again.

There is something about the time of year when trees are lit up in yellow and red that makes me want to skip, sing and dance my way through days . . .

Dale,
this is a beautiful poem of the season of the leaves taking on fresh, brilliant colors. For one who lives without this season (Florida), I recall it as a child and miss it dearly. thank you for giving me a new glimpse. This is beautifully written!!
