Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Some more Halloween fun :)

"

Hocus pocus

Toil and trouble

You sly little witch

It’s plain to see

That you cast a spell on me.

Setting my soul a flame

Till I am down on my knees

Collecting the ashes

and arrange into

a perfect circle.

You did it without

Any black magic or potion

For within that cauldron

Was something more powerful.

With a pinch of enchanting beauty

With a mix of wicked charm,

Toss in a smidge of seductive charisma

And finish it off with a piece of golden heart.

Never has a curse

Been more alluring

Nor the darkside

More attractive

Till the day you made me

Your adoring warlock.

Very nice one here Cowboy! I loved the imagery inside.. The lightness that flowed straight off the paper.. This had a different feel than most of your others, kind of like your piece on the rain.. (LOVED THAT) Ooops.. LOL
This by far was a treasure and shows your multi talents in more ways than one.. Great job!

Aw! I literally just said "aw!" aloud, you know. The last line is precious. Love the Macbeth reference! Fire burn and cauldron bubble. :) Loved this, it made my day. Happy Halloween!

Ohhhhh I like it. Nothing more spellbinding than a woman of charm and inner beauty. Beauty shines inside out, no wonder she has you captivated.

A fabulous piece honey, direct, bewitching and well put together.

A perfect poem for this time of year. I love how through the halloween feel there is a bit of a love story. I loved the lines:
"Setting my soul a flame
Till I am down on my knees
Collecting the ashes"
Nicely done and to top it off it gave me some Halloween Spirit.

WE all could use a little Hocus Pocus in inspiration in everyday life! Wow .. I found this fiercy, fantasical and very in tune for Hallowe'en.. what a creative combination to portray! This one can also be for all ages I found.. a fun tribute to a bewitching love's curse! Saving to favorites .. it's a nice unique spin to a fun time of year!
