The Walk

The Walk

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Under the glare of heaven’s beacon

A midnight rose is covered in early morning dew.

This being just the beginning,

Or is it the end

Of life’s miracle bestowed up on you

The day you began to live and die?

Can salvation come to life out of

Yesterday’s dreams,

Or has faith in tomorrow’s nightmares

Become subliminal prayers

Imbedded within the soul?

Now is the time…

         Now it’s do or die

Walk upon the thorns and petals,

If you feel the soft comfort of the rose

You’re already damned and forgotten.

If you bleed

Then you know the Garden of Eden

Is still within reach.

A fantastic write Dale. So full of hope and inspiration. And there is something almost peaceful residing within.
Each of us are give the choice of what to do with our lives. We can reach into our dreams and find our salvation or we can perish and die without ever fully knowing what could have been. You have such insight Dale, and when you put it into verse it becomes a thing of beauty and great value.
Another gem.......

Imbedded within the soul" this is a beautiful, amazing piece. i love the imagery of rose petals, thorns, garden of eden. & i love those last few stanzas "If you bleed Then you know the Garden of Eden Is still within reach." what hope in these words, that those who are suffering can still reach paradise. i love this piece & the hope it brings. once again, i'm blown away. BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Wow! very much rock and roll cowboy. deep and got a spiritual feel, and very metaphorical. I had to read it two times to finally get the gist of it. I was still not sure about the whole idea because it was so deep, but I love the way you write, and you def do it with your own unique flair.

Wow.. such a powerful meaning in this one.. truly to live is pain.. we know we embrace life to feel all that is around us through living.. from joy to hurt but the real message is whatever you are feeling that the garden of Eden is still within reach! Sometimes we have pain in life that leave us wondering where we are.. questioning every aspect of life.. but it is truly do or die! Earth truly is hell and the garden of Eden rolled in one.. depending on how a person views life in general and the things thrown at them. Either way no matter how one views something.. the show must go on! Thank you so much for sharing.. truly inspirational and realistic! Light found living even in darkness..=)
