Red Rose Kisses

Red Rose Kisses

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

I breathe in when I know you’re near

To capture the scent of new life you bring,

Like the smell of fresh fallen rain.

I breathe out when you’re not around

For the element of life seems to be missing

As if my heart were floating in space.

I would wonder these harsh plains forever

For just one feel of your red rose kisses

So I can experience paradise just once.

Intoxicating lovelust.. the flow of emotions and senses truly leaves a sense of a very high level of attraction. The comparison of one's red rose kisses and experiencing a paradise just once.. and the willingness to wander harsh plains forever to reach it.. truly striking. An inspiration to read .. with very sensuous feelings. This is deep.. lusting at the mere presence of another.. and then the heart feeling empty at their absence. Can be the feelings of a truly captivating romance.. trapped and spellbound.. such a whirlwind of emotions. Passion bleeds through this writing.. so many can relate to such real raw emotions.. with many being left numb in realistic rejection or fear of pursuit. Your ending implies you have never known such paradise.. leaving me sad .. as everyone is worthy of finding such a place in the world with loving arms to embrace them. I sincerely hope you find your true life's soulmate.. and daily inspiraton. Thank you so much for sharing.. this one is sure to touch so many hearts..=)

This is beautiful, feels like a form of healing....a release to let go, and let the love
live forever. Your words inspire me, and the more I read of your work, the more
you have grown as a writer.

Wonderful!

This is a lovely piece. Intimate and full of longing, it's almost palpable. The only part I stumbled over was the "fresh fallen rain", I thought that seemed a bit cliche.
