I Thou Sacrifice

I Thou Sacrifice

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Under this relentless red sky

I shall endure

To bring color to your barren soul.

For there is no greater deed

Then to know that my parchment

Means new life

To your thirsty emotions.

You can drain me of my strength

Yet I shall never become your weakness.

Wrap my stem around your heart,

I promise that my thorns

Shall only make you bleed

What thy needs…

The sins of yesterday,

The mistakes of tomorrow.

For to be the rose

That keeps thy desires from wilting

I thou sacrifice.

Damn Dale, you are getting better and better. i love this poem, absolutely love it. so sincere, so romantic and passionate, and like a bryan adams song, "everything i do i do it for you." The metaphors in this piece are off the chain, and they all work well together, and end with the analogy of a rose, and instead of a cliche of talking about a woman being the rose, YOU are the rose. nice touch. thanks for sharing.

Well damn, cowboy, you sure changed the direction your horse is galloping in. Very poetic, sincere and full of passion, not a hint of lust in the least. Very nice work.

Theres no greater love then to sacrifice ourselves for another. You are a romantic underneath all that bad boy persona. I love this piece Dale. Thanks for sharing.

Supreme.. to sacrifice yourself and be that rose that does embrace that poor barren soul.. keep it healthy and feeling all the elements of life perhaps.. romantic, loving and full of intensity pouring from your heart in this one.. under a relentless red sky.. what a metaphor.. like the blood that flows through humanity and hearts.. and allows us to live.. life itself is found in this writing.. keeping the desires from wilting.. what a passionate and sincerely touching writing.. keep it up!!! Love this one.. =)

How do you do such magnificent work? I pay homage to you. This will surely touch many a heart.
If swooning were not out of style, you would have the ladies dropping at your feet with this one.
