After The Black And White

After The Black And White

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

After the clouds of black and white

Get carried away…

Red velvet sky

Brings new life

To the majestic river

With nowhere to run.

Suddenly colorful purpose

Flows through

Crystal clear thoughts

Till the waterfall…

Teaches you life’s greatest lesson,

Suddenly your not afraid of drowning.

Dale...this reminds me of the thought of ...once you ride a bike, you never forget how to ride it...for some reason.
Getting the stuff out of the way allows us to make that final dive, take that next step, as we are no longer afraid, or held back by the obstacles in our path.
There's a lot to think about in this write....until the waterfall...interesting!

this is stunning. i love the mood & simplicity of this poem, yet it says so much. its only when we look around & see the color of the world, see its beauty, can we really start living. i love that last line. a deep, thought-provoking piece. amazing!

And I am humming the 'whether you fall..' song. *smile* Very nice, Dale.

This tells a tale of life's lessons in very few words. We are all afraid at times, but hey the ending of your poem tells the reader that life could be worse. Loved your wording "Crystal clear thoughts

Till the waterfall" Makes one think life isn't so bad! Another great write! K

wow, I like the part about the waterfall the best. I think without its lesson living would lose its color, and definition.

Nicely done
