You ever been in one of these relationships

Affections so hot

That going down in flames

With a flick of the switch…

 

Suddenly you are the darkness

That makes my soul shiver

Feeling the spell of

The witching hour causing delusions,

Making me look under rocks

That don’t exist in hopes of finding

A match to light.

 

Living with you is like

Day and night

But in dog years.

heaven's yes...unfortunately, it went on for longer than dog years to me and now a relationship that i am trying very hard to put an end to...you know this.

i realize that relationships of any kind, whether they be of love and passion or just love and friendship, require a great deal of care...but sometimes despite all the care you devote to them, this happens and one can never truly decide if they should say or go.

you never know though sometimes...

Sounds vaguely familiar, yes. =/ To me it's that heaven and hell kind of love. When the feelings are just so intense. And I think one can stand it for a while, but not in the long run.. Very well done, I liked this.

I can't say that I have but this was a perfect description of those relationships that are heaven one day and hell the next. I love the last stanza:

It adds a little humor to a bleak outlook. Great piece :)
