Cryptic Desire

Cryptic Desire

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

A fog covered dream

Of an angel bathing

In brimstone fire.

The charcoal waterfall

Offers no solution.

The devil watches

In wild eyed amazement

While he whispers

In my ear,

“Shhh…Do not tell the wizard

of that you so desire

or your requiem

will be out of tune”

Cryptic his is words

But deep in my soul

I know…

I know therefore I fear!!!

Hmmm not sure how to interpret this.. but have a feeling that the written word might be invovled.

As often happens you lure your reader with the carrot-words and move her/him into another place. Your own personal devil seems to be very active at the moment, Dale.. take care, my friend. :))

Love the format as well as the content. Thank you, thank you for sharing.

WOW....I am imagining that charcoal waterfall.....river of life draped in dank earth, tears blurred by loss...could be so many things! Much can be imagined by the reader in this write Dale, and I love when a write does this!!
Yes, wanting but being warned...play with fire and get burned!
Excellent!

Oh what a contrasting piece.. filled with lust and I believe denial??? Feels as though someone is yearning but pushing that temptation away! Great emotions pouring out ... love the stanza:

A fog covered dream
Of an angel bathing
In brimstone fire.
The charcoal waterfall
Offers no solution.

That stanza is so contrasting.. what a supreme choice of words.. I would have never thought of this and it paints such a vivid picture.. great work!!! =)

This is a unique piece. It was haunting, dark, and had a bit of humor :) I guess we all have a naughty side. I love this line, "Angel bathing in brimstone fire." Outstanding, Cowboy.

Another High Caliber write from a High Caliber writer! Bravo, my friend! Bravo! I applaud you many times over! Angels are tempting...no matter which pasture they live! A deadly tune it can be to the soul...in tune or not! Excellent!
