Like The Rain

It rained today and i was inspired

  

As I watch the rain

Drizzle ever so gently

Across these wide open plains

The thought of your sensitive lips

Speaking such eloquent words

From the depths of your soul

And I picture them caressing my skin

Quenching desires beyond even God’s eyes.

 

After the rain…

 

I deeply inhale that scent

Of a planet reborn,

My mind can’t help but

Compare it too

Every breath you breathe

That brings new life to humanity

Simply cause you‘re alive.

 

Like the rain falling

I would fall from grace

To give you everything I have.

 

For like the rain’s destiny

Here on earth

I couldn’t help but…

Yes, rain can be very inspiring. It brings everything so much more to life. Not only the scent in the air after a rainfall, but even the colours seem so much more vibrant.. 'I would fall from grace to give you everything I have' is a very powerful statement *smile* I really liked this. Thank you.
