Dear Mother...

Dear Mother...

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

This poem is my Mother's Day present to my mom.

"

Your heartbeat was my lifeline

Before the world knew I existed.

Your soul is what molded me

Into the man I strive to be.

Your love continues to be

         My guidance when I falter

My strength when I am down

My friends when I am alone.

Though I miss you with all my heart

I know God must have needed you,

And can’t blame him for that.

I still take comfort in our conversations

Through the gentle breezes.

I feel unconditional pride

When I see your smile on the sunlight.

I await my arrival to heaven

Know you will greet me beyond the gates.

Till that time I will…

Use freedom to be the man I want to be

Use courage to be the men I need to be.

Most importantly cherish this life you gave me.

This is a beautiful dedication to your mother's life. It is so beautiful and even though she has moved on to the next life it is a peaceful loving poem. I am glad I picked this one to read. it makes me think of my grandmother.

Beautifully written. Your mom would have loved it. I can relate, my mother is such an influential person in my life and to lose her would be devestating. She obviously was a positive person and greatly affected you becoming the man you are today. Cherish the skills and morals she instilled in you. Those are some of her greatest legacys.

Your mother would rain kisses all over your little head if she could read this. As a matter of fact I am sure she was looking over your shoulder as you wrote this and maybe you felt a slight breeze brush by your cheek as she lightly touched it to show how proud you have made her. You were lucky to have such a magnificent creature as your mother must have been to be your inspiration in writing this. I am sure she is turning around in heaven beaming a brilliant smile and telling everyone "That is my beloved son." Now that you have made me cry, I shall byclose saying this is the most wonderful tribute to a mother.

Oh, this is so lovely. Remembering your mom on Mother's Day is, for me, a courageous thing to do. Although the mood of this poem is cheerful, one could still feel a slight twinge of pain. This is a beautiful tribute to your mom!

No doubt your Mother looks down and smiles with pride. What a beautiful tribute you have created a reminder to us all that we need to cherish the gift of life we are given.

It is sad but true I think that we don't really become adults until we have lost a parent. For me, the loss of a parent became that first glimpse into my own mortality. No longer was it a world where bad things only happened to others.

There is no doubt how much you loved your Mom and not doubt how much she loved you.
