Dear Mother...

Dear Mother...

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

This poem is my Mother's Day present to my mom.

"

Your heartbeat was my lifeline

Before the world knew I existed.

Your soul is what molded me

Into the man I strive to be.

Your love continues to be

         My guidance when I falter

My strength when I am down

My friends when I am alone.

Though I miss you with all my heart

I know God must have needed you,

And can’t blame him for that.

I still take comfort in our conversations

Through the gentle breezes.

I feel unconditional pride

When I see your smile on the sunlight.

I await my arrival to heaven

Know you will greet me beyond the gates.

Till that time I will…

Use freedom to be the man I want to be

Use courage to be the men I need to be.

Most importantly cherish this life you gave me.

Very sweet tribute to your late mother. Nice to see you brought this out for today!

The greatest thing about being a mother is feeling needed. I'm sure that yours always felt so, with you around. Beautiful ode to a woman who was the only woman in the world to you, in the beginning. Thank you for sharing... it reminds me that no matter what else I accomplish in life, my children are the greatest achievement, and they will remember.

Beautiful, Dale. You're mother is alive in your heart
and therefore never forgotten; as this poem reflects.
Blessings!

What a truly beautiful piece. It's a wonderful tribute to your mom. I join you in celebrating Mother's Day for my mom in heart and spirit as she passed away when I was only 21, many years ago. I'm glad you wrote and posted that. It really is touching.
