Dear Mother...

Dear Mother...

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

This poem is my Mother's Day present to my mom.

"

Your heartbeat was my lifeline

Before the world knew I existed.

Your soul is what molded me

Into the man I strive to be.

Your love continues to be

         My guidance when I falter

My strength when I am down

My friends when I am alone.

Though I miss you with all my heart

I know God must have needed you,

And can’t blame him for that.

I still take comfort in our conversations

Through the gentle breezes.

I feel unconditional pride

When I see your smile on the sunlight.

I await my arrival to heaven

Know you will greet me beyond the gates.

Till that time I will…

Use freedom to be the man I want to be

Use courage to be the men I need to be.

Most importantly cherish this life you gave me.

Behind every great man there is a great woman - his mother :)
This is a very beautiful tribute dedicated to your mother in Heaven.
"Most importantly cherish this life you gave me." That is what I am sure she wants you to do.
Happy Mother's Day to all!

Thank you so much for your sweet words.
This touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes, Dale -- Your Mother is going to be so proud of the wonderful man you've become and she's your guardian Angel, watching over you, smiling. A lovely little ditty for your Mother and all the Mothers on their special day.

Why thank you sweetie, your sentiment you expressed was touching and humbling.
This is truly beautiful, Dale - exactly how a Mom should be revered. Makes me realize how blessed I am to still have my Mother here...

Yes you are, just be sure to appreciate it cause tomorrow is not a given.
This poem gives gratitude. When we are thankful and show it, we become more... Thus feeling more gratitude and expressing this continues a healthy cycle of life and love.
Keep sharing your thankful soul and helping us all to grow.

humble ty Bro
I think any mom would be proud of her son, if he exhibited the values and strength derived from their mom. My mom is getting up there in age, and I dread more than anything the day she will be taken. I hope I can take the things she passed down to me and make it my own, too. Thank you for sharing this, D

Such a beautiful ode to a woman who was so very important in your life. I know that my own mother is definitely the most important woman in my life, so I can imagine the pain that would be caused by her passing. I also know, however, that my mother will always be with me, as will yours. Well written, my friend!
