Keep The Faith

Keep The Faith

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Within these windowless walls

Are blind thoughts in the corners of the mind,

Revelation stimulations…

Killing everything I've known to be true.

Turning every colorful photo in the album

Into charcoal memories

Blowing in the wind

Scattering burnt remains

Upon the flowers and trees

Giving the illusion of an eclipse.

This is when reaching deep inside

To the miracles that lies

Within thy own soul are needed.

For only the magic of your reflection

Can reveal the illusions created

From the disease

Of jealous minds

Leading to ones death

Though you still roam the earth.

So with slight of hand

Say a prayer.

In the blink of an eye

See the light.

Keep the faith

And you will not bleed in vain.

Very deep.. dark but ending with a positive note to keep faith.. this is very important in life..

So with slight of hand
Say a prayer.
In the blink of an eye
See the light.

This could be interpreted many ways.. metamorphically speaking it's utter sorrow.. waiting for something.. like the end of darkness.. I could be taking it wrong though.. I believe many struggle with light and darkness.. can only hope they find their way to that light .. thank you for sharing!!! =)

What brilliant writing.. so full of feeling, passion in the spiritual sense.

' For only the magic of your reflection / Can reveal the illusions created ' - delicate, subtle.

This wraps the reader/reviewer in a sense of calm. It's such a fine piece, Dale, thanks for sharing .

When we entertain those little blind thoughts in the corners of our mind, soon jealousy will flourish any taint all of our thoughts. A good message with a positive ending. Thanks for sharing.

Your emotions are running free into a deep and dark place, dragging you down, a scary place to be. I like how you pull yourself out of it. A great write my friend. Keep the faith.

No matter how dark the night or how bleak and empty the world may seem it is faith that will see us through. This is very well done and the message is clear keep the faith.

You really did well in describing the feelings of loss and isolation

Leading to ones death
Though you still roam the earth

How many times do we feel exactly like this like something died inside of us and life is a never ending series of going through the motions?

Good work, my friend you keep expanding your horizons.

"From the disease
Of jealous minds
Leading to ones death
Though you still roam the earth." I love these lines. sometimes, we all feel like zombies. this is an amazing poem. i love the depth, the vivid imagery. & the final line, don't lose hope. an insightful, deep, thought-provoking write.

Truth and honesty. Everything I love to see... Very powerful stuff. I like it. The little postive note at the end. Very well put together.

"This is when reaching deep inside
To the miracles that lie
Within thy owns soul are needed.
For only the magic of your reflection
Can reveal the illusions created
From the disease
Of jealous minds
Leading to ones death
Though you still roam the earth."

I feel like that some times. There is a lot of metephor in this poem. A lot a feelings and thoughts all put together.

Your writing and this poem in particular, seem to want to tell the reader these tails that bring initial sorrow but end with half hearted hope

The first paragraph seems somewhat "scattered" and unruly, lacking focus and direction

The second paragraph wants to be somewhat "real" about what is going on, but doesn't bring the message all the way home.

The last paragraph, to me, is just too confusing

Maybe I'm just too realistic and direct with my feelings
