Eternal Love (Our Legacy)

A warm gentle breeze touches my skin

like your sweet passion to my heart,

in these gifts you receive

is a precious part of me.

 

Like a diamond in the rough

your love brings out the best in me,

and in the best of you, lives truth

a rare beauty that lies within.

 

You're the strength in my weakness

the tenderness to my toughness,

in an instant the waves that were crashing

are now calm as I look in your eyes .

 

Then the clouds part from my soul

as the path to heaven becomes clear in your gaze,

we were meant to be here at this moment

you are my air; I can breathe again.

 

No matter where life takes me now

you are my heartbeat even in the afterlife,

only then we can be free from this hostile world

we can continue to grow and love for all eternity.

 

So as we fly through infinite blue skies together

above the pains of yesterdays heartache

we grace this world with our legacy that love exists

and spawns over the rainbow where the promise land lives.

I do wonder how you chose you topic? Eternal love, something so wonderful, yet intimate and personal. To see people collaborate with one voice and express such powerful feelings is truly amazing when as you note these are not feelings shared for each other. Kudos!
