Sweet Serenade

Sweet Serenade

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

The sweet sounds of memories

Play in my heart like

The passion of jazz filling

A smoke filled club

Giving me the chords of strength

To sing a song to carry on.

With that strength I try

To share the tune of humanity

That my soul conducts

Like a symphony

Hoping it’s loud enough

To echo off the walls

Of ignorance that is built too high.

My only other hope is

That I can find someone

To do a duet with that will

Become a platinum hit

And become a classic

That others can take

Inspiration from.

For there is nothing like

Having a sweet serenade

To turn life’s racket

Into a power balled.

Magnificent work!! No doubt close to perfection! The descriptions between music and love are perfectly portrayed in the work of art!! I found it elegant, creative, exquisite and just plain lovely!! I can go on with more adjectives but I don't want to take away from this beautiful poem. !!! Wonderful work you should be so proud of!!

Dale, the meaning is a beautiful one. I like that you compared loving someone to a serenading duet. beautiful.
