Broken Cross

I broke the cross

With lack of faith…

It wasn’t weak,
I was.

Thinking that

Embracing my faith

I couldn’t be the man

I wanted to be.

Now I realize

The faith was there

I just had to own it.

Now to embrace my faith

I am not only

Who I want to be

But better.

 

The cross is broken no more.

such a true and honest poem, really feeling and believing in your faith doesnt mean
that you have to change who you are? it means to inhance a better you!!

to be bad and do things that you know in heart is wrong only puts a bandaid on
the truth that lives in you!!

to write this just shows all of us how much substance and depth you have in your
beautiful soul... we are human and all come with inperfections... great write,, we
all honestly can relate!!!!!

I like this very much. It's true we always feel that somehow we won't be able to be who we want to be if we go in that direction. But I have found its freeing me up to be more of myself......
