Flower, Bouquet, Garden

Flower, Bouquet, Garden

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

During this, the toughest of storms

Oh my fairest lady I can plainly see

You are a radiant flower

Whose pollen is the source

Where some of the sweetest honey comes from.

And he is merely an arrogant bee,

Only wanting one thing.

Too busy with his own needs

To appreciate all the beauty

Your silky petals offer

To a world in need of color.

Just how can I make you see,

Truly divine woman,

That you’re a bouquet of flowers

Arranged so perfectly

To out do

Any centerpiece at a black tie affair.

But he is nothing more

Than an empty, cracked vase

That cannot hold the water

To keep you alive with the true passion

that takes our breath away.

I know when this storm finally passes,

And the rain you found harmful

Will have made your roots stronger.

Then you will finally see,

That you are the Garden Of Eden,

And he is just an ignorant weed

Not worthy to flourish in your soil.

Oh, Dale, I love this poem. It is so very creative. Every line stunned me with amazement. It was worth the effort of looking for one that I did not review yet. Such a wonderful thing to write for your friend. Triple kudos!!

Beautifully written, this is a wonderful and unselfish gift to someone who is obviously a very special friend. When you write and are able to touch even one heart, you know that you have succeeded in creating something truly magical. From the responses you have already received, you must know that many hearts now feel warmer, feel special and feel very loved.

This is precious to me... just exquisite, enchanting and even though I'm not the dear friend going through a tough time, it made me feel better! :)

My favorite lines:
"But he is nothing more

Than an empty, cracked vase

That cannot hold the water

To keep you alive with the true passion

that takes our breath away."

Big C! I love this. I read through the reviews to see if she noticed this was for "her".
I saw that "her" is me and everyone else too... very sad.
but with Friends like you there is plenty of sunshine after the rain!
During this, the toughest of storms

Oh my fairest lady I can plainly see

You are a radiant flower

Whose pollen is the source

Where some of the sweetest honey comes from.

Beautiful poem dale. prob my favorite one so far. i think this poem includes many people, maybe even me? many of us women are beatufiul flowers who have been treated like we're ugly weeds, when in reality, those men are the weeds growing in our flower garden, trying to wither away our growth!!! i loved this dale, thanks for sharing. just waht i needed this morning to get me started.

She's a lucky friend Dale, excellent work. You brought the message home in well-defined metaphor fashion.
You are developing a unique style tha is pleasing to the eye and senses...loved it!!

Oh, how could I not love this poem - that title just drew me to it like the strongest magnet, Dale

Then I read your beautiful lines, those gentle empathic phrases and realise what a sensitive guy you are.. your 'dear friend' must feel so comforted by what you've written specially for her.

Love the following: 'That you're a bouquet of flowers / Arranged so perfectly / To out do / Any centerpiece at a black tie affair.'

and also, ' That you are the Garden Of Eden, / And he is just an ignorant weed / Not worthy to flourish in your soil.'

Every woman needs special words and kindnesses, not to be taken foregranted or whatever.. in fact it's the same for a man too.. you words are quite something.

Thank you for being who and what you are.

And the rain you found harmful
Will have made your roots stronger.
Then you will finally see,
That you are the Garden Of Eden,
And he is just an ignorant weed
Not worthy to flourish in your soil" BEAUTIFUL!!! my favorite stanza right there, but there was so much to love about this poem. a gorgeous write. i'm breathless.
