Frozen In Time

Frozen In Time

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Whispers of twilight fantasies

Falls upon deaf ears

Through A double window pain

Turning them into silent screams

Of midnight memories.

Only the Siren’s melody

Is what this soul-o wants to hear

Bouncing off these steal walls

Sounding of two heartbeats

In perfect harmony.

Starlight cries for attention

Through crooked branches

Trying to shed dead leaves

Creating foretold shadows

Of yesterday’s regrets.

A glimmer breaks through

A cold stare enlightened

Just in time

For a heart frozen in time…

R.I.P with your wings.

Oh this is sad.. a story woven in poetry of a frozen heart. Not searching for love but lust is what this is calling out for and finds a glimmer of hope in the end.. but with enlightenment realizing that it was perhaps not meant to be??? RIP with your wings.. a flame of desire seems to go out here by way of death either in reality or metaphorically speaking.. either way.. I like the fact it has some closure to this piece. Really great job on this.. surprised I haven't come across it yet!

I find this to be sad. Love desperately wants to blossom but the heart is frozen. There is a lot of depth in this poem. Stellar write!

Very nice read.

I'm not really sure I can articulate my thoughts on this one at the moment xD

I really liked that, "movement under the glass/ice," sort of feel I gathered and the foreboding that came with it.
