All nightlong

Partying till dawn

People all around

Yelling and celebrating.

 

New year dawning

Everyone anticipating

What is to come.

 

You make resolutions

Every year breaking them

All without hesitation

Remembering life is to short for boundaries.

Resolutions. What resolutions? My last resolution, was made about 5 years, with the promise, to be honest with myself. And still keeping it. Truer words have never been more true than your last line. Happy New Year, Dale. May you continue to write interesting posts here. :)

Nicely said. A great little piece so appropriate for this time of year when so many are thinking about resolutions and what they want to change in themselves for the new year ahead. I too love the the ending...so very true! We all need some boundaries though don't we? lol

The ending says it all. Every year you make a resolution or two and you work at it for a month and then it's over. I like how you say:
"Remembering life is to short for boundaries."
This line couldn't be any more true.
