Rope The Thunder, Ride The LightningA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
Distant rumble Undeniable anticipation Feeling it shake The solid ground I firmly stand on. Never losing grip On the lasso Holding tight To bring it back Enjoying the challenge To fence it in. I’M ROPING THE THUNDER TO KEEP MY HEART BEATING. Raise my hands To bring on the challenge Embracing the strike Electrifying my bones That holds me like a rock. Still locked in tight High up in this saddle With firm grip Moving in harmony Feeling the satisfaction In keeping stride. I’M RIDING THE LIGHTNING TO KEEP MY SOUL SHINING. © 2008 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Featured Review
